After reading the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide (you can print this when you first start Boot Camp Assistant in OS X) I discovered that I made a big boo-boo.When Confusingly, this will allow Mac OS X to correctly recognize either a FAT32-formatted partition or an NTFS-formatted partition. Re-install windows, reboot on live-CD and recreate the swap partition. If you already partitioned, it created a 3rd partition at end of the drive. my review here

Launch the Boot Camp Assistant and select "Create or Remove a Windows Partition". Disk Error. Truthfully though, to be on the safe side also disconnect all printers and your iPod or whatever other devices you have plugged into your computer.

Also, you must delete the partition only through Boot Camp Assistant, not through Windows. However it gets worse. Liquid and computers don't mix. If I use bootcamp assistant (now) I don't imagine it could write the downloaded files to the USB since it's read only.
If everything has been done correctly, when you hold down the OPTION/ALT key, you will be given an option to boot to OSX and Windows. What do I do? click Removing the partitions can be done with "gpt": Read the "remove" and "show" sections of "man gpt". The only thing I can think of is it may be a conflict with Parallels, since it does install drivers. Note: Volumes are mounted automatically when you remove a partition.

Windows DVD does install. Please type your message and try again. This means that the new partition sizes (60G + 17G + 15G in the example) should add up to no more than 233.4 GB.
The DVD drive powers up when a disk is put in but the OSX disk doesn't go into setup mode or any Apple OSX mode. Finally, there is as small hint about NTFS write support in terminal under "man mount_ntfs". However it will not recognize them properly unless the the GPT partition type is set to "Microsoft Basic Data". GRUB tries to access legacy hardware that is not present in the Intel Macs.
