If so, it could be that the file is damaged enough that the error copies over also. Error Mess I reburnt my CD "closing" the session and it worked after hours of trying other things. Such opinions may not be accurate and they are to be used at your own risk. A case like this could easily cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. weblink

It could be that the cd was not 'finalized' and that my IDE drive couldn't install the OS because of this. My friend had suggested a cd drive error, but I thought that was incredibly strange since it happened at the same file every time. I'll try making a new cd on another computer.
