When the backup runs to one of the disks it is failing with the following error: "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" I have looked at some existing threads on here Whenever I save a file to my C: drive I also save it to my External USB drive. Once you do, you can try to extract it, but chances are your data has some 0's and 1's falling out of it and it still may not work. An obvious question is that if the data is extremely valuable why you do not have a backup? If so, the CRC errors are probably caused by failing hardware, most likely the drive itself.
