It is worked in my case.. Shutting down and restarting my laptop or Windows Live Mail does not do any good. Your participation helps us to help others. Would prefer to avoid this if possible, wondered if anybody had another solution or suggestions?
I tried everything suggested.Finally, I exported the messages and contacts.Then I deleted the account and recreated it and imported everything.The messages that could not be deleted did not exist, technically speaking. When I right click on DELETED ITEMS and select EMPTY DELETED ITEMS FOLDER, I get ARE YOU SURE… and click YES. I guess Windows Mail just got corrupted somehow. Windows Live Mail Can't Empty Deleted Items Folder Once reported, our moderators will be notified and the post will be reviewed. Googling suggests that the problem may lie with WLM and reinstalling the programme might be a solution. I've had similar forwarded e-mails like this recently, but this is the first I couldn't easily delete.
