I have the same problem and the only program I got to work well was word, and even this program I got to open without a problem using a new shortcut HP give you a few CD's/DVD's with all the programs etc on it. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2010, and the installer still runs every time I start an Office application. My computer is only a year old, running Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Version Service Pack 2. For the rest of us that use Open Office... Regards, Cyberdyne.

When the installer comes up what is it installing what program what if anything do you see it installing? I tried that with mine, but it didn't fix it, annoying as I have both discs installed fully.
